About the M&M Christmas Pudding Cookies
It’s Christmas cookie time! You know, when every house smells like baked treats, and everyone hands out their Christmas cookie boxes. It’s my favorite time of the year. Christmas is joyful, all of December is joyful. Let’s make these gooey M&M Christmas pudding cookies so you can add them to your treat boxes this year!
When I think of Christmas cookies, I think of a wide variety of flavors. This cookie adds a delicious take on normal chocolate chip cookies to your list. Honestly, this is one of the best Christmas cookie recipes ever. A classic twist that everybody will love.
Adding instant vanilla pudding to the cookie dough adds delicious flavor while also creating a very moist and soft cookie. One that almost melts in your mouth. It helps make the best cookies! BUT, please do not follow the instructions on the pudding package. We aren’t making actual pudding. Just using the dry mix! Otherwise… you will have quite the Christmas vanilla pudding cookies problem on your hand!
My most complimented cookie and one of my favorites has to be the Triple Chip Pudding Cookies. I decided to mix things up and add Christmas M&M’s to this batch to celebrate Christmas time! M&M Christmas Pudding Cookie Ingredients
- Instant Vanilla Pudding – DO NOT follow the pudding package instructions. Simply add the dry pudding mix to the cookie dough. The pudding mix adds a sweet nice background flavor to these cookies.
- Christmas M&M’s – It’s Christmas! Grab those Christmas M&M’s you see on the shelf. These use about 1 ½ bags of the 10 oz size.
- Salted Butter – To quickly soften cold butter, I use the microwave. Microwave for 5 seconds on each side, stopping to rotate the butter between time increments, and you’ll have softened butter!
- Light Brown Sugar – adds moisture and chewiness to these soft cookies.
- White Sugar – the perfect amount of sweetness for a delicious Christmas treat.
- Eggs – use large eggs.
- Vanilla – I like to use Watkins Baking Vanilla for these vanilla pudding cookies.
- All-purpose Flour – any all-purpose flour works in this recipe. Added in the perfect proportion, these cookies have an irresistible texture.
- Baking Soda – adds lightness to these delicious cookies.
- Salt – salt is the key to a balanced flavor essential to a perfect Christmas cookie.
